In celebration of their 400th Anniversary, Zildjian created a special edition 5A drumstick to celebrate their rich history of cymbal making. This design is inspired by the prevalence of Zildjian cymbals in popular music and how they became the standard in cymbals during the British invasion. When the Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, demand for Zildjian Cymbals exploded so much that by the end of the year, Zildjian had been backordered by 90,000 cymbals. The design resembles much of the styling on 60’s concert posters.
