PAF style humbucker with a ton of rude Texas attitude for aneck tone that stays warm and focused.
The Pearly Gates neck captures all the mojo of the originalneck pickup from Billy Gibbons 1959 Les Paul. It is a PAF with a unique tonalcharacter, and more midrange than typical humbuckers from that time. The resultis a neck pickup that cuts through with its stronger tailored mids, but stillhas the open and airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. Combined with awarm, spongy low end, this pickup is great for both rhythm and lead playing.Pair with the Pearly Gates bridge model for a classic setup, or match it with ahigher output bridge pickup like the Custom Custom for a more aggressive rocksetup.Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Pearly Gates modelhumbucker uses an alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductorlead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-freeperformance. As with all of our PAF style humbuckers, every Pearly Gates iswound on Seymours original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibsonfactory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for that unmistakable vintage mojo.
