Peavey 1502-4DT Black Widow Super Structure Low Frequency Pro Audio Speaker

The Peavey 1502-4 Black Widow Super Structure Low Frequency Pro Audio Speaker features a stiff, Kevlar-impregnated cone that reduces the chances of the voice coil’s shape getting distorted, thus avoiding rubs and scrapes and resulting in efficient power handling with large cone excursions. Equipped with an efficient magnet structure, this cone also offers low distortion due to dampening of unwanted cone vibrations.

The piston action of the cone has been extended to a high frequency, the range above is controlled, and the vibrational breakup is reduced. The magnet structure features a one-piece, die-cast back plate/pole piece assembly that eliminates undesirable air gaps in the magnet circuit. In addition, this speaker’s cone/basket assembly is field replaceable with a factory assembled and tested replacement basket assembly (sold separately).

The Black Widow Speaker also features a 4”, edge-wound, aluminum ribbon voice coil wound on a polyimide composite former, a die-cast aluminum alloy frame, an extra-large vent in the magnet structure for cooling and linearity at high drive levels, and spring-loaded terminals adhering to industry standards for color coding.
