Tanner

Tanner Flora is a multi-instrumentalist who joined the Island Music team in 2022. For as long as Tanner has been playing guitar, he has been taking apart and putting together guitars, learning how they work. During his freshman year of high school, he refinished a guitar he found in a dumpster, which he still plays to this day.

When he's not fixing guitars, Tanner loves to travel with his friends. In the summer of '23, Tanner drove straight to Denver and back, with no stops, to see Australian Psych-Rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

Come in and talk with Tanner about any repairs or upgrades to your string instruments.

 

John

John McKay is a multi-talented individual with a passion for music and electrical work. As a skilled instrument repair technician, he has a keen eye for detail and a knack for troubleshooting and fixing musical instruments. In addition to his expertise in instrument repair, John has been playing guitar for over 40 years.

Outside of his musical pursuits, John is a master electrician, showcasing technical skills and knowledge in the field of electrical work. With a dedication to quality and 40 years of experience, John ensures that electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.

Beyond his professional endeavors, John values his relationships with family and friends, cherishing moments spent together and creating lasting memories. His diverse interests and talents make him a well-rounded individual who is always eager to learn and grow.

Band Instrument Service and Repairs

Due to the complex nature of band instruments, we are unable to provide fixed fees for service. If desired, our tech can provide an estimate once the instrument has been looked at.

All band instrument service work is subject to an upfront bench fee. This fee covers the time and labor needed to diagnose your particular issue(s) and is non-refundable. This fee will be deducted from the total cost of the repair if you choose to proceed with the repair after an estimate is provided.

Electronic Instruments & Equipment Service and Repairs

Due to the complexity of electronic repairs, we are unable to provide fixed fees for service at drop off.

All electronic instrument/equipment service work is subject to an upfront bench fee. This fee covers the time and labor needed to diagnose your particular issue(s) and is non-refundable.
